As a young and dynamic association active in this industry we are closely tuned to the market, seeking to continuously expand our mailing list. We also reach other interested parties such as consultants, researchers and government departments. To ensure that our product gets directly onto the production floor, selected vendors also physically distribute copies to some line supervisors and plant operators.
Each issue has technical articles by specialist writers on various metal finishing subjects, updates on SAMFA activities around South Africa and always features a SAMFA member company from one of our regions. In addition the many adverts from industry suppliers make it a handy reference for those seeking information about plant, equipment, chemical systems or raw materials.
We've come a long way over the past five years. Our first issue was released in October 2003, before the South African Metal Finishing Association was officially constituted. Originally 500 copies were distributed. Since then we have grown our database to 2500 names. It includes providers of metal finishing services, suppliers to the metal finishing industry and end users of metal finishing services. SAMFA has a special interest in electroplating, e-koting, anodising, hard chroming, powder coating and phosphating.
We continue to receive positive comments from readers and our website receives regular requests for copies from persons who have been referred to SAMFA or have located us through a web search.
